Eternal love I have for Pumpkins

16060 days old . maybe we should take the baby route. 528 months old . Maybe we should think about the how old anyone is . It really doesn’t say anything . Except you can drink , vote and buy tobacco products .

It was an interesting week . Not much different from last year. Lovely Covid 19 spreading like herpes . People tried to keep It entertaining .Not the covid but the birthday.

Monday was a $10 Starbucks card and (insert your eyeroll here) a beautiful bottle of perfume.

Tuesday was a squishy pineapple and a lovely bouquet of lilies

Wednesday was a text message and then Crumbl cookie arrived. And then the kid sunglasses showed up .

Thursday Derek sent massive flowers . I honestly didn’t think they would happen. We haven’t spent money on anything that was the last thing . I thought we would just do a little something.

Friday it was a debate of spending the night or making it a day trip and I really couldn’t see an overnight trip I only wanted two things. But after making it a day trip in the future we will spend the night . we are to old for that day trip business. But it was a thunderstorm adventure to the McNay Museum & Lupe Tortilla . We were fat rats after lunch and then on to the museum . I had my doubts about museum honestly . It was big , the limitless exhibit left much to be desired . The eternal love I have for pumpkins was cool . However I’m also glad I didn’t pay full price . They tell you it’s a room. It’s a box . What every article fails to mention is that it’s a box not an actual room. And that you only get 45 seconds in the tiny box that also has a museum worker with you . 4 feet of walk way , 2 feet wide . The concept a very cool idea . Now I just want to make my own pumpkin display.

We stopped a couple of places for some shopping , not much . Then on to home. And we were exhausted. Saturday’s plans were canceled and moved to Sunday which totally worked out better.

Derek made breakfast for a pumpkin and I and then it was off for tacos and wine. The day trip destinations not exactly what anyone would have in mind . But it was good trip . and then Cake !!!

All classes went hybrid and some are not thrilled . But I gave the talk of hey you don’t want to go all online you need to stay home . I know you want the college experience but you also need to be very careful . and then hung out in the library and worked on a art project . But all in all it’s a fun time . Thing will be changing soon . It will take to get adjusted to it again . But only time will tell .

Sparkly Dress Again

We left the house at 8:15am and on the road we went. Destination San Antonio . Mission to see the sparkly Fiesta coronation dresses and this may sound silly to you but you have not seen or experienced the sparkle and the awe of it all . They are truly a site to see. So I didn’t exactly jump at the chance to see them again . But I wouldn’t not deprive anyone from the experience .

So Fiesta is traditionally held in the month of April because the Battle of San Jacinto was fought on April 21, 1836. The court wear extremely elaborate dresses they are amazing and start at a small price of $60,000 and the train weighs about 100 pounds. And there is your useless knowledge for the day .

It was odd creatures that you don’t want to know that’s in the water that can’t be killed. And stinky flowers that you never want to smell . I pretty sure the smell of rotten flesh is not ideal for your home or office. Then we moved on to Indians and rock arts. Which I have seen and I’m not so sure the girls were so interested in it. But that’s okay I get it. On to the HEB treehouse which we all agreed . We need HEB as a sponsor on campus and we need a treehouse also . And to save the best for last the sparkle. And I almost promise you we looked at the dress 5 times we were in the gallery well over 45 mins.

P. F. Chang was on the menu for lunch . I did ask if anyone had something in mind. I would not have pouted if we didn’t go there. As long as it’s not Taco Palenque we are good . Fried green beans Spicy Chang’s chicken , Mongolian beef , and wonton soup with dumplings were the entrees . One Mai tai for yours truly. Uh I deserved it. On to shopping , so what we realized on our day trip was , it was tax free weekend . But we all are very go with the flow. And took our chances . And let say TJ max was the worst of our experiences, the store isn’t that great . But the line was insane. We all agreed it leave. One made a large hall from Trader Joe’s . She’s been wanting to go for over a year. I promised we would go. Sam Moon , Victoria Secret , Nike, Specs , we passed on World Market . One stop at Star Bucks for a Pink Drink and Coffee and we headed home. Kerrville was a stop . Kathy decided she needed to try cranberry vodka . Headed to the Spec’s grabbed and went to the HUGE Cross on the hill , for a beautiful sunset . and an awkward selfie . And nobody was sucked into the cult . And the rest of the drive was full of stories and laughs. And all was returned safe and sound.

Sunday was a trip to find chlorine , new pillows , and out to clean the bungalow for Mccoy and roommate . I honestly didn’t get very far . To many things that aren’t mine or that are heavy and no Idea where they are suppose to go . So they have quite the chore on their hands today .

Lalia has arrived let the fun begin . I think Henry is already happy about it. No longer cooped up all day . Has a pal to hang out with.

Welcome to the week of Texas had a cold front at 5am it was 68 degrees outside. That’s right you read that right . This never happens. Maybe that 100-year freeze did us some good. Actually I wouldn’t mind the 100-year freeze returning. I had no complaints . I would stock up on food better next time though. It wasn’t terrible but just nothing I wanted. I mean I welcome the Snow Margarita again.

Which brings me to I have no winter clothes and who even wants to think about it. And it honestly doesn’t get cold here til Jan . So I suppose I have plenty of time to find attire. But I’ve got a basket on Anthropologie and Free People and well the reliable Red Dress and let’s say I’m going to call it back to school shopping. I mean why not right ? If school is staring in 3 weeks and I have a birthday in 4 weeks I think it’s a two for one situation . But let’s keep that on the down low.

No trips have been planned for the fall and that’s a bit sad. I do not count the fact I’m going to Disneyworld with Kakie . That’s not an adventure . I’m not sure what that’s going to be. I don’t know that I’m looking forward to it except that I don’t have to be at work. And I get to see the castle coated in lights.

As Friday has come . It was a morning of carbs that continued to lunch. Which on Friday I generally do not eat lunch . But today it was a group trip to Cork n Pig, and if you know , you know. Hope you’re in the know. It was a week at the museum and Henry getting a new roomie.

Old hag had the day off . All in all the week was not terrible.

Busy weekend it was

It was a full weekend. Quinncess wanted a slumber party . It was all her idea and worked out well for her. There was swimming and Thankful no Dino egg chicken or puke this time. But there was a bunch of Spirit . She crawled into my bed at 6am. And wanted blue pancakes . I managed to push that to 7ish . Then it was blue pancakes and “ Guys it’s about that time . !” What time is that ? “Swimsuit time!” And into the pool we went for 2 hours I know is had to be tired . And then she left not on time of course.

Evening fell and it was time to celebrate a Princess . Italian Nachos and Bow tie pasta where on the menu and I almost did salad and I went against it. Not sure if that was a good move. But it was all eaten . There was the oddest version of Happy Birthday sang or I should say said. If anything that left a wrinkle is someone’s brain. And lastly homemade ice cream . Which that was weird. I think I need to make custard next time. There where multiple conversations going on . The love birds at the table could have cared less about us . Poor Yvette got stuck . Two migrated to the kitchen and two to the pool. All was happy . Slowly they all went home except for birthday princess .

There was a mad game of Spinners aka chicken foot beginning and everyone jumped ship but 4 and it was hilarious for sure. Apparently they can just change the rules on those of us that don’t play and there was knocking and well I have no idea . What I do know is someone who will remain nameless Derek always told me to match the colors and uh that’s was a lie . Dominoes where thrown Names where called. Everyone laughed and nobody cried. And well I lost . Big shocker. I know . We all went to bed about 1:40am .

Sunday sunshine came in and Pink pancakes and mimosas for all. And after dropping off the birthday girl it was a very lazy afternoon . So much that apparently, I napped very hard and snored worse than a bear. And I’ll say my throat was very sore and it was a good nap . Nobody woke me up . Honestly, they should have .

Cold front moved in and it was Awesome . Heck we are still enjoying it . 88 on August 3 . This does not happen in Texas . So we are bike riding and soaking it up.

Laila will move in on Friday . McCoy will be here towards the end of the week also.

I’m not sure how any of this is going to go . Northerners moving to Texas . One I assure you has forgotten how hot it is . Since she was complaining that 85 was hot . In her defense there is no air condition in New Hampshire, And she was drinking hot chocolate this morning .

And in other news Kimberly Dickerson has turned in her resignation last day September 15,2021 Not shocking at all . With all the phone calls outside the building and being sneaky . It was a matter of time.

Well darlings that was a weekend . And I’m tired . Off to make Mac n cheese and a birthday cake for Sarah .

Grasshopper Knowledge

The weekend was quiet and not very eventful . I cooked the old people dinner and had it there at 5:20 10 minutes early . And the niece and husband had sushi from HEB . Back home to clean up the kitchen . Where I ended up by the pool listening to a drunk friend talk . And finally said “go to bed”

Sunday we bought a blood pressure taker and took it back over to them and went to the ever exciting Lowes. I have no idea what we purchased there. Had lunch with Lisa at Rosas who let me add is never picking lunch . Unless she is really hungry and that’s what she really wants. Otherwise no she doesn’t get a say .

Her birthday is next week and she has decided to have dinner at our house and hangout. So Italian it is.

Monday was a slow very slow day with nothing to write home about. However on Tuesday things picked up . The afternoon was filled with a lot of sitting. In a waiting room. It was a trip to the Oncologist with Sandra to see my good friend Raj . Pretty sure that was a meeting of two who where very happy to see each other. We were both smiling . It’s been awhile . He told Sandra oh I see you brought me a beautiful gift today . So very kind of him to say. He showed me pictures of Chickee . All grown up . 6’1 taller than him . We always knew she would be tall . She was all legs. Two months ago she graduated medical school and is now a Dr. a intern in California learning emergency medicine. He did a good job as a single dad and a busy doctor. Sandra got all her info and her prognosis which isn’t great. But it’s life . The moment you find out how your going out of this world . Has to be an odd feeling.

And here we come to a very slow dragging day . It’s not even noon. Jesus !

Family reunion is this weekend. And it’s unclear if either one of us is going . If it’s a day trip sure. I can’t do overnight that ship sailed years ago . I got spoiled on the thought we live so close. Let go for the day . Then the cabin count got smaller and not a lot of room . And became a daytrip event. Which worked out. Go sweat for the day sleep in my own bed. No taking turns on the shower. The sister in law and her family has always taken president over us anyway . Always makes sure she has a room with the parnets and her kids too. Nobody really cares what happens to us. And that’s okay . Cause I get a day trip.

Lets talk about grasshoppers ! Do you like them ? Do you wish to set them on fire and watch them burn? Clearly the 2021 freeze did something to them and enlarged them to be bigger and jump higher. And also it’s apparent that they snuggled way to much in the freeze .

Life felt a bit normal

Well it’s been awhile and this might be long I’m not sure. I’ll try to keep this short and entertaining .

Where do we start ? Lets just go with 4^th of July and make this simple cause honestly life has been a bit boring . Work let us out at noon and we were all very happy and thankful. Loving this new president. Then it was discovered we had a three-day weekend . I was told to pack a bag the Saturday morning . And we headed to San Antonio which I wasn’t really thrilled about . He went to Mama Margie’s which doesn’t thrill me . And we ate and he seriously got back in the car to head home. I threw out Witte Museum . And we headed there . Saw some creepy creatures of things you can’t really see with the naked eye .And I pretty sure I‘m happy about that. Then it was off to the section that was about Indians and rock art . And hey we got to visit the ranch. Yes, the rock art at the ranch is in the Witte Museum . Kind of cool really. And then for the best part of alllll. The sparkly dresses. The fiesta dress are all on display and they are beyond amazing . It was humid and rainy . And we waited for an hour and half for a margarita at La Fogata . Was it worth it ? Sure . Where we decided to splurge on a room in Corpus. On to the Omni we went. And oh my goodness so many people wanting valet parking and unloading . Luckily, we don’t fit in the parking garage. We just wanted to check in . And we never had a thought that it would be busy . The beach yeah maybe. But we did get a room with a view of the fireworks so we didn’t have to get into a crowd that day . However it was the hottest most miserable day I have experienced this summer so far. Went to breakfast and discovered the beach was not able to be walked . And it was decided we would stay downtown. Good Lord that was a bad idea. But on the other hand I did get Water Street for lunch/dinner. It was so yummy and I had a food baby for a long time . Oh I was miserable. And the fireworks out our balcony where pretty .

Your friend Henry stayed at Gran’s for two nights and apparently was miserable. He just wanted to go home. And really, we have never left him . Maybe for the day . But never the night or two nights. He came home a wore out poochie. Grans dogs wore him out .They ran and played he was tired for about two days .

The next week was long cause it was short and the usual coworker needing Friday happened. So Friday was pick on Jordan that morning but it was smooth sailing after . I had really hoped to leave early. But that was a no go.

A new weekend was upon us and we were supposed to go to Austin for Miss Q’s 40^th birthday party. And after a splurge of a weekend before I didn’t think it would be a good idea . Nor do I think it was going to be that fun . I don’t care for her friends and I’m sure they don’t care for me either and that’s okay . And after seeing the photos . It really look like a bbq lunch . And I can’t eat that. We put in new kitchen lights and I gave myself a manicure was a bit of a lazy day . I was told we where going to dinner. Henry napped on daddy’s side of the bed. And got his ice cream. But we did not end up going to dinner. I ended up that the store at 6 and then picking up nachos and margaritas.

Morning came and I was sent to home depot . For no reason!!!!! And lunch with friends at Twisted Root for some much-craved onion rings. They were yummy ! And that was a first for the 4 of us. To home for a nap and then we had quite the little storm blow up and it was awesome ! Dinner was late which I wasn’t happy about but when he cooks I don’t really have a choice. I tested a cookie recipe in a very bright kitchen . FYI I really don’t like making cookies . And I don’t think I’ll be making those again. One batch of energy bars made. Those won’t last long. I really wanted to try a new pasta recipe. Maybe this weekend it will get made.

Lisa has a birthday coming up and she must be very excited about it. But I offered dinner. And Italian is super easy to make. But I don’t feel I have mastered it yet. Let’s hope she wants Italian . I asked what she wanted to do for her birthday and she wasn’t sure. I offered dinner and swimming . We shall see. things ready if I don’t know.

Well we are on to a new week I promise not to make you wait this long for another blog . I think life is about to pick up a bit. Laila will move in and bring life into the house. But with a trip to San Antonio & Corpus Christi life felt normal for a just a bit and that was nice.

Memorial Day

It was a long weekend for this girl . Took Friday off to run some errands so I could do nothing for the weekend. Henry was happy . He even attempted sitting in a chair. Saturday was grocery shopping and to American British Antiques then to lunch downtown and walking on the river and on to The Coop to see some art and judge it. Which led us to shops downtown. We had seen some old Pyrex bowls at ABA . And we both wanted them . So we looked at other places . But never found them. Saturday night was nothing really.

Sunday came and Breakfast pizza was made. Me thinking I was having another chill day . NOOOO it was in the car we went to travel to Del Rio . Where it appeared it might storm at any moment. But it never did. We could have gone almost anywhere in 2.5 hours. And that’s where he chose to go. Where everything is closed . Chinto’s – Closed , Hardware store – Closed. Rudy’s open … The springs – open so to springs we went . And Henry played in the water I think he was on the fence the whole way . But once he figured out it was a fun thing he got over it. He stomped in the water , he attacked the water. And then he slept all the way home . And that was the big adventure .

Memorial Day flags where placed outside and we were off to check the garden cause in 4 hours the Airbnb would be gone forever !!! I now have squash out my ears . Huge ones. Medium ones, little ones. Lettuce , broccoli , peas. Pumpkins and watermelons are coming . I mean the plant is there , there are blooms, it looks promising . Watermelons might be late in the season . I’m not really sure. Pumpkins should be on time though .

The rest of the day was spent wondering if it was going to rain or not , storm or not . And it rained a bit but nothing like the radar showed could happen, it was nothing to right home about . I’m guessing 3years ago it was 103 by noon and I was sitting a crystal clear pool . Not this year . It was overcast and 65 degrees. And the pool definitely isn’t crystal clear yet . It’s on it’s way there though. We sucked up all the stuff off the bottom. That was a chore . Make sure he doesn’t get sucked into the drain , Make sure the pump doesn’t fall into the pool. Hold the hose and playing with the dog . I did whoops once and sprayed water into the neighbors back yard . At least it was just water. Nobody complained.

And then it happened the Airbnb moved out while I was back at the antique store ! And in true Millennial fashion he put his trash in the kitchen . A large sack and he could of easily taken to the trash outside. But no stuck it in the kitchen floor. And left the key on the table. Which I go find he made the bed. I question why people do this . Want to help strip the bed ! So I walk into the room to find the bed made , the new carpet black and grey . Confused by this cause he never wore his shoes in the house. I go to strip the bed and find the linens which appear as if someone colored them with a charcoal pencil. They now have been washed twice and it’s still there. Looks like I have to buy new sheets. The carpets look better . I put some stuff on them. The Shower has enough hair in it to make a wig. The child should probably eat more than Taco Bell. and last he went through 5 rolls of tissue in 6 weeks. WHAT THE HECK ! Well thankfully I’m done with Airbnb for awhile .

A week of weird temperatures for June . And nobody better complain at it’s 70 . But I bet they will.

And I’m so not into Miss Sour face today I want to knocker her so hard google won’t be able to find her. But of course I will not. I don’t look good in orange. And I’m not a big fan of crocs . But I honestly have No Fucks to give today . stay tuned.

Henry made a decision

I’m tired . Everyday . And there is absolutely no reason to be this tired. I go to bed at 9:30 -10ish . Get up and go to work . After work I put on the walking clothes and shoes and it never happens. And at this point it’s only making me bigger . And my summer clothes do not fit. So I really should figure out a way to snap out of all this . Granted today is different Miss Sour face went and created her own hell while I was off for a couple of days and I’m not suppose to know about it. So I’m just waiting to see if this blows up in my face or not. Really, I just pretend like I don’t know anything. But things are different. She’s acting love drunk. Which we all know won’t last. She so badly wants to be the boss that she wants to get a student worker. For what ? Anyway life has changed a bit but just for a little while she will see how exhausted she is at the end of the day .

Mr. Henry made a decision that Daddy no longer needed a workout bench . I came home to it in a million , trillion pieces and he even moved it . Daddy was in disbelieve . I honestly am shocked this didn’t happen sooner . The amount of times he has been left alone with it and hasn’t torn it up . And then it was a pillow. Not so sure those calming chews are working . Which reminds we took the last ones this morning . I really should get him the kennel cough shot and take him to daycare a little bit . He already rotten enough . He gets ice cream on Sundays . Wants to get into the car every time we go . So let us just add doggie daycare to the list. Pretty sure he has us trained.

Saturday was graduation day . I had a luncheon for a graduate. So the daughter told me . 4 people. Cause only 4 could go into the ceremony . However I had 7 . 7 !!! Thank goodness I made pasta . And I almost didn’t have enough. They had salad and a bowtie pasta dish .There were not complaints . And there was no dessert . I thought about it. And totally had the time . And didn’t make anything cause hey I was tired. Honestly have no idea what I would have made either. Really, I thought about pie and then didn’t make it or buy it. Pie sounds good right now .doesn’t it.

Garden is a bit nuts with all the lettuce

This is our time of the year that weather is wacky . We are told we are having bad weather and then it never happens. Clear sky and in 10 mins it’s blowing like a hurricane and the sky is black and then sun appears . Swear mother nature is just menopause.

Airbnb has a week and some days left . Thank goodness. He was the easiest one I have ever had . But yet I’m so ready for him to go. I mean he is gone at 5am but sometimes is back at 2pm and in the evening he goes somewhere to all hours of the night . Might be back by midnight , or he might just walk in and change clothes and go to work. One Sunday he showed up at 8:30 acting like he had been at work . But he had been out all night. But I’m just done for a while. Maybe for good.

He’s obsessed with that table , don’t look at the pool.

I’m ready to travel , run away , take a picture of something new. But only time will tell. We no longer have to wear masks at work or most of the places in town. However Hawaii is still wanting to poke your brain. And we are not really into that. So Hawaii is off the radar for a while. We have talked about San Francisco , Florida but nothing on the books yet . On the front we have 1 college girl moving in Mid-July , a niece hanging out since she is moving back . Niece is just looking forward to Happy Hour and laying by the pool. And who can blame her. I know that’s where I would be on a Friday if I didn’t work .

Let’s see if we get the rain . Fingers crossed.

He eats Watermelon

I don’t even know where to begin . Our Airbnb left and a new one arrived . Not that I wanted another guest . But he slipped in . And now we are stuck with him . Although we never really see him , he’s not a bad guest at all . He doesn’t explode food in the kitchen , he has no troubles opening the door . He and Henry like each other. He does like to stay out really late and then he goes to work really early . leaves at 5-5:30 in the morning but it appears he’s back home by 1 some days . Not sure how the guy makes any money or he was suppose to work all day Saturday and he was gone about 2 hours and maybe ? And he was back .

Summer is upon is and the lovely forbidden fruits are all out . I call them forbidden because I love watermelon and cantaloupe and honey dew but, on my diet, I’m not suppose to eat them . But what’s a triangle of watermelon going to hurt . It wasn’t ice cream or a donut . It was real fruit .

So this past week I bought a tray Heb for $4 and it was enough for me during the week . But your friend Henry came up and wanted it . So I gave him a bite , and well I lost my slice because he ate the entire thing and wanted more . But I said 1 was enough. Then last after our long, muggy walk he went to the fridge . I thought oh he wants milk . NO watermelon! Only one triangle mister . I’m not letting you out because you ate watermelon . And then today at lunch normally he gets a milk bone and goes outside , not today he sat he waited . We shared a slice of Watermelon .

Grace called to show me her new clothes and she watched him eat watermelon on FaceTime. And I showed her the mess he made. You see I had bagged all the winter clothes after much talk it was decided to get rid of them and start new in the fall. I assure you this will not work out well for me . But I’ll give it a shot. Anyway I guess the bags look fun ? Did they call his name ? I don’t know what I can tell you is the clothes where all over the room . He didn’t eat them , shred them no , just took them out . What to do with this child.?

It’s been a gloomy week which is awesome but also , Where did the ran go ? The National Weather service and local weather guys seem to hype it up sending out warnings Potential Tornadoes , Golf Ball size hail . Even went to the lengths to provide a chart to measure your hail. And what happened. The wind blew it was muggy and the sun came out and it was misty at 5am. That was all she wrote. And today I can’t deal it’s to humid . My hair well let’s not talk about it.

The concert table in the backyard is in needs to have the stain removed again . I did this Saturday and restained it against my better judgement . It didn’t turn out well. I need to do it again . While nobody is home . I thought about it last night but it was gross outside . Today isn’t looking any better , But I really need to do it without instructions. So I should take advantage of this situation. Or I can sew burp cloths. Which can be done any day .

Denim Day 2021 . Everyone welcomes jeans on a Wednesday . I mean there are Thursday;s I wear them . But I have a boss that wears them regularly and it’s not a big deal . But today the entire campus is encouraged to wear them .

And on that note I’m out . Derek is out of town again ; the Airbnb is still out playing poker all hours of the night . Which I really don’t think is legal . And work is just work graduation day is upon us. In an hour we will see if Henry was good child.

Henry , Henry , Henry

Henry has a new obsession . Sitting in cars , not wanting to move. Not sure if he’s decided Opal is more his style or what ? However one evening when getting my purse and putting water in the car he got right in the back seat. I begged . I pleaded , I bribed. I opened doors so he could hear his daddy pulling up . And Daddy finally arrived and he still didn’t want to move. I told daddy don’t be mean. He had a hard day and I’m not sure what this is about . He was kind and finally he got out. I think he has discovered that cars take him places. Maybe . Like you’re not leaving me here. Not sure what’s going through that noggin of his .

He clearly is feeling better cause he destroyed a foot scrubber , and attempted to eat a light bulb out of the nightstand lamp . Thankfully it was plastic or we would have been back at the vet. I would say this time he was mad he was left and I didn’t take him to work . Which I would love to do . But you gotta be sneaky about those thing. Miss Sour face fed him popcorn last time .

The Airbnb resigned which I’m not real thrilled about. Her money was going into my stash . And she sent an email to everyone she could in that hospital. And then they called a meeting . Which she never really would say what happened and maybe she couldn’t . But it slipped out . “All I asked them to do was count .!” And then I texted my sister . And her response was Hell no I wouldn’t work there, at the end of every op report the surgeon says “ estimated blood loss and all counts correct “ If something is left in a patient . Yes, the Doctor will be sued . but the hospital will as well because its there O.R and bigger money . The nurse will lose her job because she didn’t provide standard care. And her license for negligence . So she packed up her life and left at 9pm. Now she text everyday .

Babies . There seems to be trend lot of baby business in my I have one person adopting and I have one person having a baby in October. So baby blankets are in order . I started crocheting one. I don’t feel it’s very gender neutral . But it does say Baby . I have made multiple burp cloths . All that’s left is to find material for receiving blankets . All gender neutral ! Which I suppose is exciting . But wouldn’t you rather know ?

Saturday was a night of Music and Dance . As usual some dances were great and others I shook my head at . My date leaned over and said “this is really hard for you to watch isn’t it ? “ You have no idea. When you do Ballet for 16 years it’s hard to watch such little things that shouldn’t happen at their age. I thinking these girls only take from the one teacher and no summer intensives in the state or the nation like I did and the girls that I danced with . To each their own. So for girls in a pre professional level group . I’m on the fence . But Jude who we went to watch was super excited and even hugged us. Maybe cause we had bundts for her. She did really well. Proud not aunt moment .

Sunday it was planting more squash . There are someone people who request the squash flowers for dishes. I honestly can imagine them tasting like much . One swears he will make squash blossom soup . He said that last year . All he made were tacos ! Never the less we planted more. And the rest of the day was very uneventful .

We shall see what next week brings. I’m hoping for rain .
